As last year was our first year we have learned a lot of valuble lessons and acted on them for this year. We got a lot of very postive feedback last year and we thank you for that and hope we have acted on it.
This year we have firstly improved the bars this was our main concern from last year and something we needed to sort out so i can say there will be no repeat of last year. We will have bigger outdoor bars on site and a seperate soft drink bars as well as shot stations on site.
Well thats that bit explained.
2012's At The playground will run across 2 days this year will also feature more stages which means more live acts for your listening pleasure as we said before definitely improved bars a lot more food traders onsite and a new and improved kids area more toilets and a few surprises we wont reveal just yet .

THE MIGHTY BOOF WAS BORN OUT OF FRUSTRATION OF THE LOCAL MUSIC SCENE OR SHOULD I SAY LACK OF MUSIC SCENE... SO 4 ODD YEARS AGO WE DECIDED TO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT IT AND SO THE MIGHTY BOOF WAS BORN.
WITH A LOT OF HELP FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS WE NOW PROMOTE NATIONAL TOURING BANDS IN VARIOUS VENUES OF 100 TO 800 CAPACITY RIGHT ACROSS CUMBRIA AND HOLD A NEW MUSIC CLUB NIGHT IN CLUB BOOF CENTRAL GL3 GALLACHERS NIGHTCLUB IN WHITEHAVEN AND VARIOUS OPEN MIC EVENTS AS WELL AS ALL DAY EVENTS ACROSS WEST CUMBRIA.
ON TOP OF ALL THIS IN 2009 WE HOSTED STAGES AT KENDAL CALLING FESTIVAL, BFESTIVAL AND COCKROCK FESTIVAL.
IN 2010 WE FIRMLY PUT SOME ROOTS DOWN BY TAKING ON BECKFEST AND RUNNING THE DANCE TENT AT COCKERMOUTH ROCK FESTIVAL. AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW IN 2011 WE WILL BE STILL DOING ALL OF THE ABOVE AS WELL AS 2 MORE BIG ALLDAY EVENTS IN CUMBRIA !!!!
OUR AIM IS TO GET WEST CUMBRIA WHAT IT DESERVES A GOOD REGULAR MUSIC SCENE.
